Hunter Branch patron Rick McCosker presented Abbey Taylor with the Keith Lewis Memorial Award on 22nd April. Abbey is a Newcastle City Cricket Club junior and represented at the Country U/15 Women’s Championships. An all-rounder, Abbey averaged 27 runs in 4 innings and took 4 wickets at an average of 14.7, with her best bowling 3 for 4 against Western. In club cricket last season she had a highest score of 61 and took 6 wickets at an average of 16.5.
Keith Lewis was a prime mover in setting up the Newcastle Branch with former National President John Darling and John McCallum.
