Life Membership is the highest accolade that can be awarded to members of most organisations. Three life memberships were presented at the AGM. Rick McCosker has had a long involvement with the Taverners. His wise counsel and background work has been invaluable and his status in the cricket world raises the profile of our organisation. John McLaughlin played rugby league and cricket for Newcastle and is a long-time director of Wests Group. He was Taverners secretary/treasurer from 2007 to 2009 and Chairman from 2010 to 2018. Judy McLaughlin was a long-serving committee member alongside John and focused on organising social events and fund-raising activities. They are flanked by President Cathie Black and Chairman Trevor John.
